When The Need Arises, I Dress My Age

The Grown Up Outfit!
Top: Plains and Prints (A local brand); hand-me-down from Mom!
Necklace: One of my Chinatown finds! (this one's old though)
Wide Belt: From a local shop (old lol)
Skirt: from BKK
Bead Bracelet: Another Chinatown bargain find! Similar to this

Just as the title states, when I need to dress my age, I do so without any hesitation. Wore this last Friday when I met up with my BFF since my Uni days.

For this outfit, I worked my wardrobe around this skirt. I just absolutely adore it. I just can't explain my strong affinity towards skirts with pockets at the sides. And the piping detail at the front further strengthened my resolve to make this skirt mine. The top is actually quite loose-fitting, I thought it would puff out once I tucked it in but to my surprise, it didn't!

So dinner and catching up with BFF went absolutely well and my take on this outfit? I'd have to say, I loved it. It may have added years a few years to my appearance, but sometimes, you just have to stay true to your age. After all, we can't fight the inevitable haha. :)

**Sorry for the cluttered background, our house is being renovated at the moment, our stuff is literally scattered everywhere! >.<

Wii you look awesome in this outfit! This is not 'old ladyish' at all! Love the skirt as well as the piping detail, and the jewelry is pretty too! Sounds like an exciting weekend and you even met up with your godfather! Must have been fun :)

I certainly agree with the last sentence that we cannot turn back our age and try to dress to look younger.

I think its about ageing gracefully, accepting it and looking good for your age.
